Copyright notices
Last updated October 22, 2026
Arara Search LLC hosts websites for restaurants. Each restaurant publishes its own site and is responsible for what is on it. If you believe material on a site we host infringes your copyright, send a notice to our designated agent. We will remove or disable the material and tell the restaurant.

What a notice must include
Under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3)), a notice must be in writing and include:
- Your physical or electronic signature, or that of someone authorized to act for the copyright owner.
- The copyrighted work you believe was infringed, or a list if there are several.
- The material you want removed, with the address of each page where it appears.
- Your name, mailing address, phone number and email address.
- A statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
- A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act for the owner.
Notices that leave out these items may not be acted on. Knowingly misrepresenting that material is infringing can make you liable for damages (17 U.S.C. § 512(f)).
If your material was removed
A restaurant whose material was removed can send a counter-notice to the same agent. Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(g)(3), it must include:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- The material that was removed, and the address where it appeared before removal.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you believe in good faith the material was removed by mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address and phone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, outside the United States, any district where Arara may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who sent the original notice.
We forward a valid counter-notice to the person who sent the original notice. Unless they tell us within 10 to 14 business days that they have filed a court action, we may restore the material.
Repeat infringers
We end the service, in appropriate circumstances, for customers who repeatedly infringe the copyrights of others.
