Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between Arara Search LLC ("Arara" or "we") and the business that signs up for Arara ("you"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. If you sign up on behalf of a company, you confirm that you have authority to bind it.

1. The service

Arara publishes location pages for your business on your own website, collects reviews from your customers, keeps your business listings in sync on the platforms you connect, and reports on how search engines and AI assistants describe your locations. Features available to you depend on your plan and on what you choose to turn on.

2. Your account

You are responsible for the people you invite to your account and for what they do in it. Keep sign-in details private, and tell us right away at support@ararasearch.com if you think someone has gained access without permission.

3. Your content and data

Everything you put into Arara, including location details, photos, page text and the reviews your customers leave, belongs to you. You give us permission to host, copy, display and process it only as needed to provide the service to you.

You can export all of it at any time. Pages we publish for you live on your domain, and they stay yours if you leave.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information, including information about your customers.

4. Your responsibilities

You agree to use Arara honestly and in line with the law and with the rules of the platforms you connect. In particular, you will not:

Arara is built to follow Google's rules on review markup and location pages and the FTC's rule on consumer reviews. Some features will refuse to publish a page or send a request that would break those rules.

5. Connected platforms

When you connect Google Business Profile, Apple Business, Meta, Bing or another platform, you authorize Arara to act for you on that platform within the permissions you grant. Each platform's own terms still apply to you, and those platforms can change or withdraw access at any time. We are not responsible for changes they make.

6. Prices and payment

Prices are published on our website and charged per location per month. Plans run month to month and renew automatically until you cancel. Text messages beyond the amount included in your plan are billed at our cost. We will give you at least 30 days' notice by email before any price increase takes effect. Fees are charged in US dollars and do not include taxes, which we add where the law requires.

If a payment fails, we will tell you and try again. If it is still unpaid after 14 days, we may pause publishing and syncing until it is resolved. Your pages stay live on your domain while paused.

7. Cancelling

You can cancel at any time from your account, effective at the end of the current month. There are no cancellation fees, and we do not refund partial months. After you cancel, we keep your site and everything in it for 90 days, so you can restart and pick up where you left off, and you can export it at any time during those 90 days. After that we delete it, other than records we must keep for tax and legal reasons. If you want it deleted sooner, ask us and we will do it.

We may suspend or end your account if you seriously break these terms, if we must do so to comply with the law, or to protect the service or other customers. Where we can, we will warn you first and give you time to fix the problem and export your data.

8. Open-source software

Parts of Arara are released as open-source software under the GNU Affero General Public License, version 3. Those licenses govern your use of that code. These terms govern the hosted service we run. The Arara name and logo are our trademarks, and the open-source license does not grant rights to use them.

9. Availability and changes

We work to keep Arara available and your pages fast, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. We may change or improve features over time. If we remove a feature you pay for, we will tell you in advance.

10. Warranty disclaimer

Arara is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise any particular search ranking, review volume or business result.

11. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, neither party is liable to the other for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profits or lost data, even if warned they might happen. Our total liability for any claim relating to Arara is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

12. Indemnity

You will defend us against claims by others arising from content you publish through Arara or from your breach of section 4, and pay any resulting damages and reasonable costs.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For material changes, we will email you at least 30 days before they take effect. If you keep using Arara after that, the new terms apply. If you do not agree, you can cancel before they take effect.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute will be heard in the state or federal courts located in Connecticut, and both parties agree to their jurisdiction.

15. General

These terms and our Privacy Policy make up the whole agreement between us about Arara. Any order you place forms part of it too. If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest still applies. Neither party may transfer these terms without the other's consent, except as part of a merger or sale of the business.
